Bail bond agents featured on reality TV

Animal Planet series set to air on Sunday

A duo of local bail bond agents hit the small screen Sunday when Animal Planet premieres its new six-part series, Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters.

According to a press release, the TV series follows two teams of bounty hunters in hot pursuit of armed and unpredictable delinquents who’ve skipped bail.

Two bounty hunters from Montezuma County, identified by producers as Clint and Dayson, are featured. The agents’ last names weren’t released.

Produced by ITV Studios America for Animal Planet, the show premiers on Sunday, April 13, at 8 p.m.

“Throughout the series, the region’s most-wanted offenders, with a history of charges ranging from gun running to homicide to drug trafficking, attempt to evade the expert trackers who are always on the hunt,” the press release stated.

Television officials stated the bounty hunters patrol the harsh conditions surrounding the scenic yet deadly landscape of the Rocky Mountains, adding it required a special type of hunter to track fugitives that disappear into the wilderness.

The Animal Planet television network is available in more than 95 million homes across the country.

Attempts to reach producers for permission to interview local bounty hunters were unsuccessful.
