The craft show season kicks off this weekend in Mancos, Cortez and Durango

Ah the holidays, it seems to bring out the crafty in all of us. So break out the glue sticks, the glitter and the yarn.

Better yet, attend some of the many local craft shoes. You can admire the work of others without getting glitter and glue all on your hands.

The season of local craft shows starts this weekend with two craft shows locally and one in Durango.

The Mancos Lions Club Annual Christmas Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Mancos Schools cafeteria. Information: 533-7180.

Holiday shopping bazaar, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the first United Methodist Church, 515 N. Park Street.

The Annual Artisans' Holiday Gift Show and Sale will take place on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Oak Room of the Strater Hotel, 699 Main St. in Durango. There will be an eclectic blend of art and handcrafted items by local artists. The show this year will feature fine gourd art, pottery, jewelry,metal art, fiber art, holiday decor, essential body care, wood works and fine chocolates. On Dec. 6, Dolores will be the place to be for local arts and crafts.

Dolores Christmas Bazaar Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dolores Community Center. Door prizes. Proceeds go to the Dolores Community Center.

The Dolores River Brewery Holiday Arts and Crafts Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Dolores River Brewery, 100 S. Fourth St., Dolores. Call 562-4494 for more information.
