Weather coverage gets a boost with Cloud Scout

Visitors to doloresstar.com got a more robust weather page beginning Friday, Dec. 12.

The page features a five-day forecast, weather webcams, radar and precipitation forecasts, river flow data and a ski report with an updated design.

The page is powered by Cloud Scout, a new product of Ballantine Communications Inc., the parent company of The Dolores Star.

"Weather plays a very important role in our lives, especially in this active community where many people spend their days outdoors," said Doug Bennett, chief executive.

The weather page will also be available on the websites of the The Dolores Star, The Cortez Journal, Mancos Times, and Pine River Times and Durango Herald.
